Day 29 - A movie from your childhood
I’m not sure what I’m supposed to explain here. Aladdin is from my childhood. So. Yeah. I guess that is that.
Day 28 - Favorite movie from your favorite director
Isn’t there a high probability that someone’s favorite movie by their favorite director will be their favorite movie of all time? Come back two days from now when I answer that one instead.
Day 27 - A movie that you wish you had seen in...
ebmyers:
I think most everyone who wasn’t old enough to see it when it came out wish they could go back in time to see The Empire Strikes Back when it was first released. Not only would you get to see firsthand the Vader/Luke revelation that has since become cliche, but it would also just be an awesome moviegoing experience all around. Plus, not all of the revelations end with Empire. What do...
Day 26 - A movie that you love but everyone else hates
I’m very loosely interpreting this one. I don’t “love” Watchmen, per se, but I thought it was as good of an adaptation as it could have been. When translating a story from one medium to another, you will have to make changes; indeed, I feel that most of the “faithful” book/comic-to-movie adaptations are...
Day 25 - The most hilarious movie you’ve ever seen
Yeah I’m behind. Don’t care. There’s not much to say about this one. If you don’t like Young Frankenstein, then you don’t like parody. Hell, you might not even like comedy.
‘Nuff said.
Day 24 - That one awesome movie idea that still hasn’t been done yet
Gangsters try to kill a man in witness protection by putting snakes on the plane he is flying on.
Never mind, that’s already been done. Looks like Hollywood is done, you can go home now.
Day 23 - Favorite animation
Whether or not you care for the story (despite it being wonderful), if you don’t love the animation in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast then you hate animation. Sorry.

Day 22 - Favorite documentary Some Kind of Monster is hilariously bad. I doubt that is what Metallica was going for, but I don’t care. I just love watching Hetfield write down lyrics like “my lifestyle determines my death-style” and then nodding as if thinking “yeah, that’s a good one.”
There’ll be no more new comics projects from me in 2010.
Wow, that’s a weird thing to type.
So said Warren Ellis today. I’m sad.

Day 21 - Favorite action movie
I saw John Woo’s The Killer for the first time about a week back, so it has the unfair advantage of being fresh in my mind. However, I really can’t think of anything better at the moment. This movie was amazing, and I’ll probably end up watching it once again this summer.
Day 19 - Favorite movie based on a book/comic/etc.
Anyone who says the book is always better than the movie hasn’t read Christopher Priest’s The Prestige. It isn’t awful by any means, it just isn’t that great. The movie, on the other hand, is astounding (at least, in my opinion). It also reinforces my opinion that film adaptations should stray from the source material as...
Day 18 - A movie that you wish more people would’ve seen
It’s not underrated by any means, but I seem to run into far too many people who haven’t seen this movie. Which is lame, considering this is one movie everyone should see.
Day 17 - A movie that disappointed you the most
I knew Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was going to be awful. But you have no idea how much I wanted it to be great. Just thinking about it makes me sad.

Day 16 - A movie that you used to love but now hate
I remember absolutely loving The Pagemaster as a child. So do a lot of my friends. So when we stumbled across it while at my friend’s lake house this past weekend, you can bet that we watched it. Clearly we were each wearing high-power nostalgia goggles, because this movie was just awful. I wouldn’t say I hate it, because...
A Question:
Who’s gonna chase down villains and then turn around and run in fear?
The main thing that I learned about conspiracy theory is that conspiracy...

Day 15 - A character who you can relate to the most
For this I’m going to have to go with John Cusack’s character Rob Gordon in the film High Fidelity. Sure, I’m not trying to win back an ex in any way, shape or form, but the way he acts and talks in this film seems very “me” (only 100% cooler). Plus, I’m constantly rearranging my possessions into some...
Day 14 - A movie that no one would expect you to love
My friends, for whatever reason, seem to think that I have “sophisticated” tastes. While I might not agree with them, I would assume this means they might think that I have absolutely no interest in seeing the new Marmaduke film. They would be right.
What? It said nothing about actually liking the movie.
Kieron Gillen has been great on Thor. Really. However, I love Matt Fraction’s work, and I think he is going to be outstanding on this book.
I’m supposed to have a Ph.D. on the subject of women. But the truth is I’ve...

Day 13 - A movie that is a guilty pleasure
I know full well that Kung Pow! is a goddamn awful movie. I don’t care. It’s still hilarious.

Double post to make up for me being gone.
Day 11 - A movie that changed your opinion about something
Star Wars Episode Two made me realize not everything related to Star Wars was good (9 year old enjoyed Episode One). Fuck this movie.
Day 12 - A movie that you hate
Fuck Burton’s Alice in Wonderland even more. Way to take a classic book that is known for its deviations from the norms...

Day 10 - Favorite classic movie
Let’s be honest. I wish I could be as cool as Bogart is in The Maltese Falcon. You do too. This movie is pure sex, and I don’t think I will ever tire of it. It’s the stuff dreams are made of.
To all my non-comic-reading friends:
That’s enough spamming for now. My apologies.
